We normally eschew anything that smacks of hyperbole or hype, but we’ll make an exception for this book.

Our caveat: This rollicking book isn’t for everyone (you won’t want your kids reading it, to be sure). But even though author Tim Ferriss (of 4-Hour Workweek fame) conducts some mighty zany experiments on himself (more at www.fourhourbody.com), many of his takeaway recommendations (eat frequent, high-protein meals; choose high-efficiency exercise like kettlebells) have realist appeal
