Life Time Work Building

The “where” of how we work has changed. For some, it means an office at home; for others, it’s commuting to and from an office building; and for an increasing number of people, it means embracing a hybrid work lifestyle which may involve a “third place,” such as a coworking space.

COVID has forced many companies to explore more flexible scheduling and varying work environments for their employees. “Given that it’s looking like we’re in the early stages of the pandemic receding, and there’s a continued uncertainty around how companies of all sizes return to office life, we are seeing a seismic shift in working patterns toward hybrid work,” says James O’Reilly, president of Life Time Work.

Life Time Work is a coworking space that serves as that “third place” for a diverse range of established professionals, agile corporate employees, and entrepreneurs. “This dynamic community is connected by their shared priority of health and well-being,” notes O’Reilly. “Life Time Work was designed to naturally bring a healthy balance to work-life, which in turn also supports productivity.”

At every Life Time Work location, you’ll find the same thoughtful working environment: ergonomic seating and workstations, secure and fast technology, private and open-plan workspaces, fresh coffee and healthy snacks, and more. Members also receive access to nearby Life Time athletic country clubs.

And when traveling, members can take advantage of this fast-growing network by settling into a workstation at any of the nine Life Time Work locations across the country.

“With the broad acceptance of remote working, we’re seeing an increase in distributed teams,” O’Reilly explains. “One example being in our Coral Gables, Fla., location, where there’s an established fintech company based with an office for seven people, and they have one person operating remotely at our Bridgewater, N.J., location. This kind of geographically distributed team structure gets great benefits from our growth in new locations.”

To learn more about the three newest Life Time Work destinations, we spoke with Brooks Hagen, senior director of Life Time Work.

Life Time Work River North at One Chicago

Arriving May 2022 in Chicago, Ill.

An addition to the newly opened 126,000-square-foot luxury Life Time athletic country club, this coworking space will also be housed within the premier One Chicago residential building. “Our members can easily fit a workout, healthy meal from the LifeCafe, or use of the club’s other amenities into their daily routines, which allows them to be even more productive while working at Life Time Work,” Hagen says.

The club and coworking space are located near where the Gold Coast district and River North neighborhood meet, home to picturesque parks and world-class entertainment,” he adds. “Venture a few miles down the road to many restaurants, Navy Pier on Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, and the famous Magnificent Mile.”

Life Time Work Sandy Springs

Arriving fall 2022 in Sandy Springs, Ga.

This new Life Time Work location will be just a short walk from the 116,000-square-foot Life Time athletic country club, which features outdoor leisure and lap pools plus a rooftop pool deck, as well as studio, cycle, and yoga studios, basketball and pickleball courts, and kids programming spaces.

“There is plenty of complimentary parking conveniently located between the two buildings,” Hagen notes. “Prado Shopping Mall is also right down the block, giving our members convenient access to restaurants, shopping, and other entertainment options.”

Life Time Work Buckhead at Phipps Plaza

Arriving late 2022 in Atlanta, Ga.

Phipps Plaza, Atlanta’s premier upscale shopping and dining destination, will be home to Life Time Work Buckhead, Hagen reports. “Our members will be able to take advantage of the nearby restaurants, step outside onto a beautiful outdoor courtyard for some fresh air during the workday, or make use of Life Time’s 127,000-square-foot athletic country club, which will be directly connected to Life Time Work.”
